We have been overweight Brazilian equities within the MSCI EM in our EM Strategic Allocation publication for the past year . We reiterated this in a Weekly Editorial three months ago: “Among the large MSCI EM markets, we now prefer Brazil…”.
We mustn’t be deceived by this somewhat ironic quote about Brazil ascribed to George Clemenceau. Brazil has clearly suffered from weak growth
